Overview

The PBox8620 Edge Computing Gateway is a next-generation converged communication terminal designed for high-bandwidth, low-latency, and high-security scenarios. It integrates 4G cellular communication, edge computing, and hardware-grade encryption into a single unit. The built-in national cryptography security chip supports SM2/SM3/SM4 hardware encryption, meeting the highest security standards for electric power secondary protection. The device supports 4G LTE Cat4/Cat6 with peak download rates reaching 150Mbps.

Powered by an 8-core ARM processor, the gateway delivers substantial local computing power. It includes rich industrial interfaces: 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2 RS485, 2 RS232, DI/DO, and USB 3.0. The device supports edge-side parsing of Modbus, IEC 61850, and IEC 104 protocols, preprocessing data before cloud upload to reduce cloud bandwidth consumption by up to 80%. With a 10,000-point data capacity and CAN bus interface for BMS integration, it serves as a versatile edge computing platform for battery energy storage systems and distributed energy management.
